Introduction
An overview of how iMark have come to their conclusions on current performance and suggestions for improvement.
Performance Analysis
Organic Overview shows the sites current organic keyword performance (the natural footprint outside of paid activities). Sites will often rank for many residual keywords outside of those that they are specifically targeting. One of the best indications of the overall SEO performance of a domain.
Keywords: All organic keywords that are ranking (targeted + residual).
Traffic: Clicks to the site through organic keywords.
Traffic Cost: Estimate of the investment required to gain similar traffic.
Branded Traffic: Traffic associated directly to the brand or brand name (eg Quality Solicitors).
Un-Branded Traffic: Traffic not associated directly to the brand (eg Solicitor Near Me).
Advertising Overview shows the sites current paid (Google Ads, Sponsored Links etc) performance through Google specifically. Helpful in understanding the current balance of organic vs paid activites for a domain.
Keywords: All paid keywords that are currently targeted.
Traffic: Clicks to the site through paid keywords.
Traffic Cost: Estimate of the investment required to gain similar performance.
Indexed Pages The total number of pages or URLs indexed by Google. This can include direct links to files & images so may be higher than the total number of site pages. A good gauge of the overall visibility of a domain to search engines.
Organic Keywords A snapshot of the top organic keywords that the site is ranking for with some additional granular metrics. This provides more detail on the Keywords metric from Organic Overview. Helpful to understand what terms specifically a domain is finding success with.
Keyword: The keyword searched.
Intent: An indication of the main aim of the search (eg. Commercial, Informational etc).
Position: The domains current average position for the keyword.
Traffic: The domains current average volume of clicks for the keyword.
Volume: The total monthly search volume for the keyword.
CPC: Estimate of the bid required for a click via paid.
URL: The URL on the domain that is ranking for the keyword.
On-Site SEO
Domain Statistics High level metrics for the analysed domain. This will give an indication of how established, credible and longstanding a website is perceived to be by search engines.
Domain Authority: Out of 100 | Approximation of the current standing for the whole domain created by Mozilla.
Page Authority: Out of 100 | Approximation of the current standing for the Homepage specifically.
Onsite Factors Metrics for the loading speed, size and structure of the Homepage. Helpful to establish the technical delivery of the current domain and platform as quicker, lighter sites are preferred by search engines.
Performance Grade: Out of 100 | Also given a letter, anything under A grade underperforms Netlify / COLONY setup.
Page Size: Total payload of the page under 1.7MB is preferable.
Load Time: Loading time in seconds. Majority of our sites are under 1.5s.
Requests: Number of requests required to load page. This tends to be low for our sites.
Onsite Tests Results of various tests for technical best practice such as (meta-tags, headings, sitemap, Javascript, CDNs etc). Helpful to demonstrate generally that there are areas on the site that require attention (as opposed to delivering itemised).
Off-Site SEO
Referring Domains External domains that are linking to the target website via backlinks, this graph shows unique domains as opposed to individual links. Helpful to establish the current volume and spread of domains as well as the trend over time (Growing, Declining, Stagnating etc)
New & Lost Backlinks Individual backlinks to the website and their change over time. Helpful to establish the trend in backlinks and also whether gains are being sustained or if links are being quickly lost.
Anchor Text How links are appearing visually on referring domains. Helpful to understand the volume adn spread of different link text variations and how keywords are currently being targeted via backlinks.
